We all need to sleep n hours to keep our minds and our bodies healthy. Adults with sleeping problems can take over the counter medication to help them sleep. Others count sheep (yes, some still do believe that it works) and some, well, they turn to technology and buy a white noise machine such as this.
Apparently, this device helps one "achieve deeper states of sleep, relaxation and renewal" thru the use of nature soundscapes.
Now, if your baby has the same problem, the same type of solution is also available. As featured by BabyGadget, the Lifesounds Sound Conditioner may be the solution you are looking for to help your child sleep.
Nature soundscapes are also used. To lull babies to sleep Life Sounds features the sounds of a digital recording of an ultrasound and the sound of a mother's heart. For older kids, you can choose to use the sound of surf, rain and brook. Available at the Health Store for $79.95.
IMHO, the best way is to try out all the possibilties for nighttime parenting. It varies from child to child, mother to mother. We need to be patient in trying out which would work best for our own child. It may even involve changes in the daytime sleeping patterns of our child, how our child is conditioned to sleep, how we handle the transition of slowing down to get ready for bed, what we do to make sure that our child remains asleep and what we can do when our child wakes up in the middle of the night.
