Slow starters

My daughter is a slow starter in the morning. Getting her out of bed in the morning is a major excavation project. She's been late to school so often this year that we got a note from the school.
We've backed up her bedtime, voluntarily even.
I get her up earlier. I've done the super nice warm cajoling. I've done the fierce barking. I've done both in the same morning. We've tried grounding if she's problematic in the morning. We've gone positive giving her points for her points chart for getting out the door early.
We don't do showers or baths in the morning unless necessary. She eats a simple breakfast so I'm not wasting time cooking. I couldn't cook if I wanted because I have to keep her on track.
She's 10, I'm not going to dress her and brush her hair. I have actually sent her to school with unbrushed hair and teeth because I refuse to allow her to be late. My next step is to set up a plan with the school to bring her to school in her PJs with her clothes in a bag. Let her change in the bathroom once and I think it might not happen again!
What do you do to get your kids rolling in the morning? Because I'll take any suggestion!

Liberal parenting - you've got to be kidding me? We are by no means liberal or placating our child.
But then again I have no intention of turning to the 'stick' as you call it. You can be firm without using a 'stick'.
For a Christian, you seem to be really interested in judging and tossing out labels. I guess I missed that in my church services.

I have been a parent for 30 years. My kids now going on to 30 somethings use the upbringing methods we used on them.
In a nut shell - we were very strict. However we avoided power struggles. How? First all their behavior had consequences - consistently. They knew it was not about their parents having a need for control.Instead a behavior brought about a consequence - always. We as parents always made sure that what we did was in the context of care and concern, if irritation came in, we as leaders (parents) were quick to apologize, but we never compromised on standard. A lot of work and discipline to do it this way, but there is no other way we found to be as rewarding. In other words nothing works as well as do as I do - lead by example, and expecting and enforcing the standard that we lived out. I am assuming of course - parenting from birth to high school years. Once they leave the house the rules change. :)

If youd turn to the stick first I garantee that your daughter would get out of bed and go to school with no problems.
But if you home schooled to biginwith it wouldn't be a problem anyway.
