In the Spotlight
by Melissa Petri on February 14, 2006

With your regular baby sitter going out on a date, you are left with no choice but to spend Valentine's Day at home... with the kids. It may not sound as romantic as you may have pictured a Valentine Date but, hey, there are ways around it. To plan in advance, is the key.
While the kids are having dinner, nibble on crackers. As soon as you get them to bed, you can now together finish preparing your special meal and set the table for a romantic dinner for just the two of you.
When dinner is done, sit on the sofa and enjoy a movie together. Or, you can have a romantic bubble bath together. Light some candles to set the mood.
Remember that besides parenthood, you are both individuals who love each other. Forget the names Mom and Dad and concentrate on Me and You.
Have a nice Valentine's Day celebration with your loved ones!
