What: Turn your house upside down. Put winter clutter away.
When: ermmm... now?
Who: You! who else? But, this year, give your kids (and your spouse, of course) some age appropriate tasks to help you.
How: Bribe 'em kiddies with a reward, like an afternoon at the beach or some small treats. You could also put on some music to keep the mood light and playful. Have snacks and drinks ready for family breaks.
With kids around the house, we also need to consider safety. We may miss some of those toxic or flammable chemicals which could be dangerous. As an example, instead of using that store bought window cleaning solution you have been using in the past, it would be best to substitute it with water and vinegar. Safer and cheaper, too! For more spring cleaning safety tips, check here.
Sarah Aguirre over at about.com has a list of age-appropriate chores, which can also be useful when assigning tasks to your child for spring cleaning.
What are you waiting for? Turn spring cleaning into a fun family activity.
