And today, I saw them all over. Dads or Moms in their suits, holding hands with their pre-teen Daughters or sons as they head for work.
In the World Wide Web, people had various forms of participation during this day:
- journalseditor exposed Joanne's Pretty, Pretty Princess sweatshop as 2 girls work side-by-side with mom.
- As Mrs. Anderson, an 8th grade teacher, encourages her students to participate and even gives them an assignment to further help them learn more about the workplace.
- However, over at ohoolihan's office, April 27th is a business as usual day and the 'no children in the workplace' policy is in effect.
I was actually surprised and glad that a lot do take the time and interest to participate. Due to the sheer number of students present, the atmosphere in my office building made me feel like I was back in school.
