When attacks occur, like 9-11 or what happened to London yesterday, our children are exposed to the gamut of emotions that we adults are feeling. There's fear and confusion topping the list. And even if we are not directly affected, our lives are changed. Thus, our children's lives are changed. They may start asking questions about topics which we might not even be prepared to answer.
As parents, it is our responsibility to to remain proactive during these circumstances. It is best to prepare ourselves when something happens.
There are steps which we must take. Dr. Laura Jana's article may have been prepared during the 9-11 attacks but it's message and advice can be applied when talking to our kids after the London Bombings. Read on.
