We've all heard about stories of children having children and, as parents, we would rather avoid/prevent that from happening to our own children.
How? Now that is a good question. Because there are teens who were guided well by their parents, but they still fail to practice safe sex.
Now, if talking about safe sex to your teenager does not seem to be getting the mesage across, it may be best to use a different approach.
Planned Parenthood's How Pregnancy Happens may be exactly what the resident teenager (with raging hormones) might just need. Let him/her watch this flash video for an insight on what COULD happen and HOW things happen. Sans the droning voice of an elderly narrator, this feature animation is actually Entertaining and yet, informative. It uses language which teenagers will understand.
Go check it out yourself. And if it fits, do forward the URL to your child.
