Yet another tough issue that we, parents, need to face when our children grow up, become curious and start discovering the ways of the world. It's one of the topics which we should not avoid, even if it might cause a major conflict.
Alcohol could be, as we all know, extremely dangerous. More so, if the taker is someone who has yet to learn control. In addition to health problems, it could lead to accidents, fights and unsafe sex.
teach about the effects and risks of alcohol drinking. Establish rules. Be a good role model. Early on, we should already establish an open environment at home, where our kids know that they can honestly talk to us.

Finding a way to talk to our kids about drinking and drug abuse can be difficult. Especially if we used drugs or alcohol in our teenage years. We may feel like we dont have a plce to tell our kids not to drink. This can be a tough challenge, but if we can find a way to use our negative experiences to help our children from going down the same path. That is the key to overcoming this hurdle.

The unfortunate thing about a teenager that drinks is that they don't learn a lesson on how damaging it can be until they make a bad move that will effect the rest of their life.
