via Creative ReporterDo you remember Easy Reader, Letter Man or screaming "Hey you GUYYYSSS!" on the playground? If so, you were probably a child of the 1970's.

The Electric Company was part of PBS's innovative educational children's television programming focused on developing reading and phonetic skills. It featured talented actors such as: Rita Moreno, Bill Cosby, and Morgan Freeman in entertaining skits and silly situations.

While I remember really liking this show (and being highly annoyed at constantly having to read the words in Spiderman's thought balloons to my younger sister) the details are fuzzy as I haven't seen it since I was a child. That's about to change as The Best of The Electric Company will be released on DVD, February 7th (available for pre-order on Amazon.com.) It's time to recharge my childhood memories and expose my own children to the fun of hanging out at The Electric Company!

Susie Sunshine writes at The Underpaid Kept Woman is married and has four sons. She yells, "Hey You Guys!" on an average of fifty-seven times a day.
