Personally, I look for the following points when choosing a baby blanket:
- It should be mashine washable as we can expect it to get soiled quickly.
- It has to be made from lightweight and soft material.
- There should be no hazardous attachments (like fringes) which babies could suck on.
- The design should be simple yet, tasteful.
Of all the blankets that I have seen (and believe me, I have seen a lot!), I liked the baby blankets from the blankee company the most.
Everything about the blankee is a mass of contradictions. It feels like cashmere yet, it's machine-washable. It's design is so simple and yet, it has little twists (like the chocolate satin borders) that makes it unique. It's so soft and yet, it's durable.
blankees from the blankee company are available in signature pink, signature blue, yellow/natural and lilac/white. They measure approximately 29 inches square, "making them just right for wrapping an infant, cozying up a baby's
crib, clearing a nice spot for baby to sit and play, or simply for a toddler to carry around".
Personally, after having tested the blankee on my 6-week old son, I wouldn't want him to have any other.
