Baby Center has a fun tool to find out how tall your child may be? Do keep it in mind that this is basically just a guess based on the parents' height.
A child's growth may vary depending on his/her medical condition, nutrition and ethnic background. Don't compare your child's height with another child. As long as your child's growth pattern and progress is regularly monitored and the doctor does not seem alarmed then, you shouldn't be.
As a parent, what you can do is to help ensure that your child grows normally.
- Make sure that your child sleeps an average of 10-12 hours to give them the rest they need to grow properly.
- Make sure that your child gets a balanced diet so that he/she will reach his/her full growth potential
- Make sure that your child gets enough exercise to promote good health and fitness.
If you think that your child's growth progress is not normal, consult a doctor.
