To Divorce or Not

If there are children in the equation, some couples do stick it out together rather than opt to get a divorce. But, is that how it should be?

msnbc talked to Dr. Ruth Peters whether You Should Stay Together for the Kids. If you are going through a difficult phase in your marriage and are considering divorce, this might help you get things in perspective. Let your heart AND mind help guide you in making the correct decision.

In my humble opinion, couples should explore every possibility there is. They should try to repair what can be repaired and work things out. Instead of expecting instant results, they should look at things realistically and accept that some things need its time.

Sadly, not every warring couples can work out their differences, despite efforts from both sides. If you see that your child is suffering from your constant bickering then, perhaps, it would make sense to split up. If you do, make sure that you and your partner work things out amicably. That way, you can reduce the emotional trauma which the divorce may bring into your children's life.
