Trying to conceive
For some, one 'wham, bham, thank you Mam" is all it takes to get 2 lines on that home pregnancy kit. For others, however, it takes a lot more.
If you are trying to conceive and you can't seem to reach that goal immediately, do not worry just yet. Save yourself the emotional upheaval and try out the following tips first:
As Lori Ramsey wrote, "Diet is important to maintain optimum health and all the more when trying to conceive is it important to eat right and increase your chances of conceiving a healthy baby." Here are some Fertility Enhancing Food which could help.
A woman is most fertile when she is ovulating. Check out your fertility schedule using the ovulation calendar or the ovulation calculator.
Want to really know about the whole fetility issue? Check out the Fertility Charting for conception guidebook.
If you feel that you have waited long enough and need to put your fears to rest, then you and your partner should consult with a GP.
On the other hand, know when it is time to take a break from trying to conceive. Stop obsessing about it and re-think how you are going about it. Here's a great article to read regarding that subject.
Just remember, when trying to conceive, the importance of regular intercourse, Detecting ovulation, Basal body temperature and cervical mucus.
Relax, feel the love and GO!

Hello Melissa,
Great article!
I’m just doing all the stuff!
I’ll take folic and prenatal pills, have less sex, check my body temperature every morning and hope that god sent me a little princess – now!
Ok I will relax…:-)

Hmmm.. the test kit reminds me of my days to drop my urine on, closed my eyes and prayed for the second line..
Those were the days. I have not seen one of those test kits for the past 10 years.
Thank you for the memories.

Hi guys just wanted to share my story with you regarding ov-watch.
DH and I started trying in April 2005. I used opk’s from April until November 05. I always got many positives usually for a whole week. I bought the CBFM thinking that it might help me more. It didn’t always got peaks but never conceived. In March I bought the ov-watch and also used the CBFM.
March 8-13th I got highs watch showed not fertile also negative on the opk’s
March 14-15th got peaks on the CBFM and also + opk’s watch not fertile
had blood test done showed that I had not ovulated.
March 16-19th got Fertile days on the watch + opk’s
March 20th and 21th showed ovulation
Also did blood test to confirm ovulation.
They also have a website you can check out to get information at http://www.mybabychat.com
