Filed in archive Education on September 14, 2005

Chicago Tribune columnist Ann Bauer responded to her friend's complaints about how special education is unfair in this column. Bauer, the mother of an autistic child as well as a traditionally "gifted" child, discusses how vital special education is, how much easier it is to raise a "gifted" child, and how much her sons have learned from each other.

I dare you to read this article without being moved. (The Chicago Tribune requires free registration. In this case, the minute it will take to register is time well spent!)
