Vegetables: to Sneak or Not to Sneak?

I'm currently struggling with my daughter's selective hunger strike: she refuses to eat green vegetables. I know many children turn their heads on vegetables in general at some point, but my girl's a bit, er, refined. She'd eat cauliflower just fine, but wouldn't touch broccoli. Red bell peppers are ok, but not the green. Chick peas are fine, green peas are -you guessed it correctly- not fine. Getting her to eat anything green these days is an exercise in patience and perseverance

I've tried looking up tricks on how to incorporate vegetables into my daughter's meals without her knowing it, but came across an article explaining why sneaking vegetables isn't a good idea. Aside from the subterfuge, the author makes a strong point challenging the belief that it is the parents' job to control what goes in their kids' mouths.

We hear all the time that it is our job to offer food and our kids' job to decide whether or not to eat it. So how can we truly let go of controlling what they eat if we're sneaking vegetables into their morning muffins?

What do you think?
