Vicki Leigh Chiles at Day Care

Vicki Leigh Chiles at Day Care

Young children need to be constantly supervised. We need to educate them, play with them and discipline them, among others.

And when we have children in our care, we need to know how to react whichever mood they are in. Kids are certainly not just sugar and spice and everything nice all the time. They can (and will) get in our nerves. Of course, when they do, we need to be (or at least, try) patient, understanding and loving.

You'd think that someone who works in a day care center would know that.

Well, I guess, most do. However, it seems like Vicki Leigh Chiles did not.

See, she had 8 kids under her care one day, all aged 7 and under. When nap time came, one of the two year olds refused to quiet down. Vicki Leigh Chiles solved the problem by binding the said child's hands and mouth with masking tape. After which, she left him unattended for a few minutes.

When she came back, the boy was unconscious. He died later at the hospital.
