Wet Diaper Alarm

When I first read about this on Gizmodo, I thought it was a joke.

See those things on the left? They are not toys. They are, as the title suggests, wet diaper alarms.

See that thing at the other end of the cable? That is a CMOS chip and is supposed to be attached to the diaper. As soon as the baby wets the diaper, a music will play to inform anyone within hearing distance that the baby needs to be changed.

So... rather than feeling around the diaper, smelling or just timing your child's schedule, it's supposed to be better that they have a stuffed toy dangling from their asses?
