A six year-old boy was rescued by police in Ringgold, Georgia where one of his ankles was bounded by a rope. He was crying and soaking in sweat as police found him in the car.
The boy's mother, Rachel Gilchrist and her boyfriend Raymond Minchew were eating with the boy at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant last Saturday. The couple said that the boy misbehaved which led them to tie the boy in the car. Witnesses said that this was not true.
An employee of the restaurant called the police and reported the incident, when Minchew came back to finish his meal without the boy.
Temperature was in the hot 80s when the incident happened.
The boy is now under protective custody.
