Faced with my newborn baby, however, I found myself having doubts. My husband and I looked at each other the first time the doctor handed the baby to him, while I was lying on the operating table. We both had question marks in our faces. Suddenly, we both had doubts on our abilities to even hold our newlyborn son the right way. The list goes on and on.
Several days later and we are slowly finding our steps. The pages of our bibles What To Expect When You Are Expecting and What To Expect The First Year are being ruffled once again as we both search for information on doing things right. Yes, nervous, we were. We still are.
Should you be a new parent or be faced with doubts (like what we are currently experiencing), it might be best to get those books which I mentioned. In addition, you might want to check American Baby's 10 Newborn Worries (Not to Worry About) to help you get at least some of those worries laid to rest.
We are, despite our fears, having fun with taking care of a newborn. Hope that you are (or will soon) be facing the same experience.
